Students often do not have much security experience before starting a new job as an engineer or developer. This often puts their code and the company they work for at risk of attack and/or breach. This talk will focus on giving students and young engineers a chance to understand why they should care about security early on in their careers. Even with little experience or exposure to security, engineers can still do a lot to help protect their code. We will focus on also exploring application security defenses and attacks. In addition, I will review what kinds of questions they should be asking their team and the InfoSec people at their organization. Security is everyone’s business, and its not too early to start making it yours.
